About this job

Our client, a leading global financial institution, is seeking a Vice President, Loans Middle Office professional to join their Global Banking team. This role supports end-to-end loan transactions, ensuring operational excellence, strong controls, and smooth execution across complex lending products.

The successful candidate will work closely with Front Office, Credit, Legal, Operations, Risk, and Technology teams to manage loan lifecycle activities, support private credit transactions, and drive operational efficiency within a global banking environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage end-to-end loan lifecycle activities including trade capture, loan booking, settlements, servicing, amendments, repayments, and other transaction events.

  • Support syndicated loans, bilateral lending, agency servicing, and private credit transactions, ensuring accurate processing and adherence to operational controls.

  • Review and manage loan documentation, including industry-standard documentation such as LMA/APLMA agreements.

  • Perform validation and coordination of facility setup, documentation requirements, and system updates within loan platforms.

  • Utilize Loan IQ to support loan processing, transaction management, and operational workflows.

  • Partner with Front Office, Credit, Legal, Compliance, Risk, and Operations teams to resolve issues and ensure timely transaction execution.

  • Support process improvement initiatives, operational risk management, and control enhancements.

  • Provide subject matter expertise on loan products and contribute to broader Global Banking operational initiatives.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 10 years of experience supporting loan products within a banking or financial services environment.

  • Strong experience in syndicated loans, bilateral lending, agency servicing, and loan operations.

  • Working knowledge of private credit trade documentation, including LMA/APLMA standards.

  • Prior hands-on experience with Loan IQ is required.

  • General understanding of other Global Markets products and financial markets operations.

  • Strong understanding of the loan transaction lifecycle, operational controls, and risk management practices.

  • Excellent stakeholder management skills with the ability to work across global teams.
