About this job

Senior Designer (Fixed Term, Part-Time - Contract for Service)

Care Corner is investing in several strategic initiatives that reimagine how we deliver care. We are seeking a skilled Senior Designer to support three concurrent initiatives over a minimum 6-month engagement:

Weave: An AI product that supports social service practitioners in making assessments and case plans. Systemic Service Delivery

Redesign: A new service delivery model that increases integrated support for families and reduces coordination burden on families.

Hone: A new digital product that enables practitioners to practice difficult conversations with an AI client and receive coaching.

As the primary designer, you are a fully proficient individual contributor who is able to lead the end-to-end experiences for the above products and services, as well as provide design guidance to the team. You will shape problem framing, user journey and design direction from discovery through delivery. You will also work as part of a cross-functional team, partnering closely with the Product Owner, Tech Lead and Product Lead.

This role suits a versatile designer who is equally comfortable designing for digital products and for real-world service processes, and who enjoys working directly with practitioners and clients to shape something new and meaningful.

Key Responsibilities

Weave: Scale-up to External Family Service Centres (FSCs)

  • Scale Weave to external FSCs beyond Care Corner, in partnership with the Ministry of Social and Family Development (MSF)
  • Conduct discovery conversations with FSC stakeholders and practitioners to surface needs and constraints
  • Translate complex requirements into clear user flows and elegant interfaces
  • Apply user research and testing expertise to ensure product best meet the needs of all users and stakeholders
  • Guide engineers in the implementation of designs
  • Iterate designs as requirements evolve across programmes and partner sites
  • Support the creation of product assets (e.g. onboarding materials, guides etc.)

Systemic Service Delivery Redesign: Validating a New Service Delivery Model

  • Design service blueprints and prototypes to represent the new service delivery model
  • Plan and facilitate validation and testing sessions with practitioners and clients
  • Synthesise feedback from testing into actionable revisions
  • Produce clear documentation and visual materials to communicate the service model to internal and external stakeholders

Hone: Design a New AI Product

  • Design the end-to-end user experience and interface for a new digital product that enables practitioners to practice simulated conversations with AI
  • Conduct user research with practitioners to understand training and practice needs
  • Produce wireframes, interactive prototypes and high-fidelity UI designs
  • Collaborate closely with developers to ensure designs are technically feasible
  • Test designs with practitioners and refine based on feedback, both before and after launch

Requirements

  • Diploma or degree in Design (Product Design, UX/UI, Service Design, Interaction Design, or a related field), or equivalent practical experience
  • A portfolio demonstrating both digital product design and service design work
  • Experience conducting user research and testing, and translating findings into design decisions
  • Proficient in Figma
  • Strong facilitation skills – able to run workshops, co-design sessions and usability/validation testing with practitioners, clients and other stakeholders
  • Ability to work independently, manage multiple concurrent projects, and communicate design thinking clearly to non-design stakeholders
  • Available for a minimum 6-month part-time engagement (extension possible based on project needs)
