Job Summary

Prepare and manage full sets of accounts, file GST returns, and support audit processes to ensure accurate financial reporting and compliance. Collaborate effectively within the team to meet deadlines and contribute to divisional goals.

Responsibilities

• Prepare full sets of accounts monthly, including account schedules, bank reconciliations, and loan schedules, to ensure accurate financial records
• File GST returns timely and accurately to maintain compliance with tax regulations
• Prepare audit schedules and coordinate with external auditors during annual audits to facilitate smooth audit processes
• Apply knowledge of corporate tax to handle simple tax computations, supporting tax-related financial tasks
• Support divisional functions by providing accounting assistance and completing assigned ad hoc duties
• Manage workload independently and collaborate with team members to meet deadlines and maintain work quality

Preferred competencies and qualifications

• Diploma in Accounting with at least 1 year of relevant experience in maintaining full sets of accounts
• Experience working in second-car trading or consulting firms, adding industry-specific knowledge
• Proficiency in MS Office and accounting software such as XERO, ABSS, MYOB, or QuickBooks
• Ability to perform under pressure while meeting deadlines
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively both independently and within a team
