Job Description

Our Client is seeking a motivated and hands-on Production Trainee to support our manufacturing and production operations.

This position provides exposure to the full production process, including raw material preparation, manufacturing, production documentation, inventory planning, GMP compliance and SAP system administration.

Fresh Higher Nitec and Diploma graduates are welcome to apply.

The role is suitable for candidates looking to build practical experience and develop a career in manufacturing, chemical production, cosmetics, pharmaceuticals or GMP-regulated environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Arrange and prepare raw materials and packaging materials for daily production
• Support production activities including bottle labelling, filling, packing, carrying and movement of finished products
• Assist throughout the manufacturing process to ensure daily production targets are achieved
• Maintain cleanliness and good housekeeping standards within production areas
• Ensure production machines, equipment and department assets are properly maintained
• Prepare, record, update and maintain production documentation from pre-weighing through handover of finished goods to the warehouse
• Ensure manufacturing processes and working practices comply with established SOPs
• Support internal and external audits relating to cGMP requirements
• Assist with raw material sourcing and supplier enquiries for quotations and stock availability
• Support evaluation of alternative raw materials when required
• Raise purchase requisitions for raw materials
• Assist management with production scheduling based on inventory levels and operational requirements
• Create, update and maintain information in the SAP system
• Work closely with production operators to ensure smooth daily operations
• Assist in providing guidance and training to new employees when required
• Provide operational feedback and suggestions for continuous improvement
• Carry out other projects and assignments delegated by management

Requirements

• Higher Nitec or Diploma Qualifications in Chemical Engineering, Chemistry or related disciplines will be an advantage
• At least 2-3 years manufacturing work experience required
• Hands-on, willing to learn and comfortable working in a production environment
• Able to work independently and make responsible decisions
• Good teamwork and communication skills
• Computer literate
• Knowledge of GMP or cGMP practices will be advantageous
• SAP experience will be advantageous but is not essential
