Abrasive Blasting Technical Operator I No Experience Needed

Salary: SGD $2,000 – $2,500 per month
Work Schedule: 12-hour rotating shift / Day or Night Shift

Job Summary

We are looking for an Abrasive Blasting Technician to support our manufacturing operations. You will be responsible for operating abrasive blasting equipment, preparing and handling parts, carrying out basic quality inspections, performing rework where required, and maintaining accurate production records.

Candidates with or without relevant experience are welcome to apply. On-the-job training and appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) will be provided.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate abrasive blasting equipment and related production machinery safely.
• Prepare parts for assembly and blasting, including weighing, lubrication and material handling.
• Receive, move and return raw materials, work-in-progress and finished parts.
• Perform assembly, rework and corrective work on defective parts when required.
• Conduct basic part quality inspections and sample measurements.
• Record production information such as Lot ID, MFG details, returns and production volume.
• Maintain good housekeeping and cleanliness within the work area.
• Support basic machine maintenance and troubleshooting activities under the guidance of the Engineer/Supervisor.
• Carry out simple administrative tasks relating to production and part information.
• Follow all workplace safety procedures and wear the required PPE.
• Perform other duties assigned by the Engineer or Supervisor.

Requirements

• Minimum Secondary School education or equivalent.
• No prior abrasive blasting or manufacturing experience required; candidates with relevant experience will have an advantage.
• Able and willing to work 12-hour Day or Night Shifts.
• Comfortable working in a safety-controlled manufacturing environment involving abrasive blasting processes.
• Able to safely carry out the physical requirements of the role, including manual handling, moving parts, weighing, assembly, rework and machine operation.
• Willing to learn and follow work instructions, quality requirements and safety procedures.
• Responsible, reliable and able to work effectively as part of a team.
• Appropriate training and PPE will be provided.
