HR Manager (Construction Industry)

Key Responsibilities

• Manpower planning: Forecast, plan, and deploy manpower resources across construction sites to meet project timelines.

• Recruitment & onboarding: Source, interview, and hire site workers, engineers, and office staff; manage onboarding and induction programs.

• Payroll & workforce administration: Oversee payroll systems, overtime calculations, CPF contributions, and ensure timely salary disbursement.

• Compliance & permits: Handle MOM permit applications, renewals, and ensure adherence to employment laws and safety regulations.

• Training & development: Develop training programs for site safety, technical skills, and leadership development.

• Employee relations: Manage grievances, disciplinary actions, and foster positive workplace culture.

• Performance management: Implement appraisal systems, monitor KPIs, and support career progression.

• Stakeholder communication: Prepare HR reports for management, liaise with contractors, and support project managers.

Requirements

• Degree/Diploma in HR Management, Business Administration, or related field.

• 5–10 years of HR experience, preferably in construction or heavy industry.

• Strong knowledge of MOM regulations, WSQ standards, and workplace safety compliance.

• Proficiency in HRIS systems (Info Tech, SAP, or similar).

• Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
