Job Responsibilities:
- Conducted market research to identify and qualify maritime companies, key stakeholders, existing systems, and potential business opportunities.
- Performed business development activities through email, LinkedIn, phone calls, referrals, networking events, and face-to-face client meetings.
- Engaged with commercial, procurement, operations, IT, digital, and senior management stakeholders to understand operational challenges and requirements.
- Delivered product presentations and demonstrations, effectively communicating company's value proposition and business benefits.
- Managed the full sales cycle, including lead generation, qualification, product demonstrations, pilot projects, onboarding, and client handover.
- Maintained accurate CRM records, including customer interactions, meeting notes, follow-up actions, pipeline updates, and sales forecasts.
- Developed and nurtured long-term client relationships, prepared account plans, and provided market intelligence, competitor analysis, and customer feedback to management.
- Collaborated closely with Product, Technical, Marketing, Finance, Compliance, and Management teams to ensure successful project execution, regulatory compliance, and customer satisfaction.
Job Requirements:
- Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Marketing, Maritime Studies, Logistics, Technology, or a related field; or equivalent industry experience
- Prior experience in B2B sales, technology, maritime, logistics, or business development is a plus.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Proven ability to prospect and engage clients through phone calls, emails, LinkedIn, referrals, networking events, and face-to-face meetings.
- Proficient in CRM systems, pipeline management, sales forecasting, negotiations, presentations, and building long-term client relationships.
- Self-motivated and results-driven individual with the ability to work independently, travel for client engagements, and familiarity with maritime or shipping operations is a plus.
