Demurrage/Claims Executive

Key Responsibilities

• Post fixture Claims handling in Ship-Broking house.
• Ensuring all time bar notifications are passed on and claims are submitted within the contracted time limit and as per Charter Party clauses.
• Attend/mitigate demurrage and post-fixture claims disputes/calculations.
• Facilitate Owners and Charterers to achieve agreement of demurrage and post-fixture claims.
• Send reminders to Charterers to ensure timely settlement of claims.
• Basic knowledge of shipping operation is preferred.
• Other written Charter Parties duties as and when needed.

Requirements

• Diploma or Degree in Maritime Studies/Shipping or Oil/Petroleum Trading industry/ Logistics/Supply chain.
• Similar experience dealing with claims and demurrage would be an advantage.
• Candidates without experience but with relevant Diploma or Degree are welcome to apply.
• Problem solving, meticulous and detail oriented.
• Active team player, self-starter, and multitasker.
• Motivated and ability to work under pressure.
• Candidate should have good commitment, integrity and dedication.
