Job Summary:
Lead hospital emergency preparedness efforts, ensuring effective crisis response, planning, and coordination aligned with regulatory standards.
Responsibilities:
- Manage day-to-day emergency preparedness operations and ensure effective program execution
- Oversee implementation and maintenance of emergency response plans and SOPs
- Coordinate emergency preparedness activities across departments to ensure alignment
- Monitor compliance with emergency preparedness policies and procedures
- Support senior management in strategic planning and initiatives
- Supervise and guide Emergency Planning team members, including performance management and coaching
- Allocate resources and coordinate team workload effectively
- Support staff development and training programs
- Coordinate departmental response during emergency activations
- Support setup and operations of the Operations Centre during crises
- Ensure accurate incident documentation and reporting
- Assist in post-incident reviews and follow-up actions
- Manage procurement and maintenance of emergency preparedness equipment
- Monitor inventory and ensure equipment readiness
- Support budgeting and expenditure tracking activities
- Liaise with relevant departments on asset management
- Lead coordination for IGH Operations Centre planning
- Work with planners and stakeholders on campus and medical planning initiatives
- Oversee preparation and execution of IGH emergency preparedness requirements
- Manage procurement planning and ensure adherence to timelines
- Provide secretariat support for committee meetings
- Support projects and initiatives related to emergency preparedness
- Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders on related matters
Requirements:
- Minimum 4–6 years of experience in healthcare operations or emergency management
- At least 2 years of supervisory or team leadership experience
- Familiarity with healthcare regulatory requirements and environments
- Experience in project coordination is required
- Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills
- Knowledge of emergency planning and crisis response practices
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage competing priorities
- Basic knowledge of budgeting and resource management
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
