AVP - KYC Operations ( 6month contract)

Role Overview

• Lead day-to-day KYC operations and act as the primary checker for NTB onboarding, Periodic Reviews and Trigger Event Reviews.
• Review KYC/CDD files across Private Banking, Corporate and Financial Institution clients.
• Act as the KYC subject matter expert and first point of contact for Front Office and internal stakeholders.
• Supervise junior KYC makers/checkers and ensure smooth BAU delivery and adherence to controls.
• Partner with Technology and Business teams on process improvement, digitalisation and automation initiatives.
• Monitor operational risk, controls, KRIs and regulatory compliance throughout the client lifecycle.
• Work closely with Compliance, Risk and Audit on KYC and control matters.
• Support regional KYC activities across APAC, including advisory and checker responsibilities.
• Contribute to the development of regional KYC processes and support the transition towards a regional KYC hub.

Requirements

• 7–10 years’ KYC experience within banking/financial services.
• Strong Private Banking KYC experience preferred, with exposure to Corporate and/or Financial Institutions also advantageous.
• Strong knowledge of AML/KYC, CDD, customer risk assessment, PEPs, Source of Funds/Wealth and name screening.
• Strong understanding of Singapore and APAC regulatory requirements.
• Experience managing or supervising KYC teams and working with multiple stakeholders.
• Experience working with Front Office, Compliance, Risk and Audit teams.
• Exposure to process improvement, digitalisation or automation projects is advantageous.
• ACAMS/ICA certification preferred.
• Strong communication, analytical and organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and work under pressure.
