Job Summary

We are looking for a motivated and analytical Junior Market Analyst to join our team. This role suits candidates interested in international commodity trading and market analysis, aiming to build a career in trading.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and analyse commodity market trends, prices, supply, and demand to inform trading decisions
• Conduct market research and prepare detailed market updates and reports for internal stakeholders
• Gather and analyse market information from relevant markets to support strategic insights
• Provide market intelligence and analysis to assist the trading team in decision-making
• Communicate effectively with market contacts, suppliers, and business partners to maintain strong relationships
• Assist with various trading and market-related tasks to support overall business operations

Required competencies and certifications

• Ability to travel to developing countries for field surveillance to gather market data and insights
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Codex to prepare basic reports and conduct market analysis

Preferred competencies and qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Economics, Finance, International Trade, Marketing, or related field
• Some experience or exposure to commodity trading
• Strong analytical, research, and communication skills
• Demonstrated interest in commodity markets and international trading
