We are looking for an experienced Procurement Manager to join our team and help us maintain the highest standards of quality and cost-efficiency in our supply chain.

Job Summary

The Procurement Manager will be responsible for sourcing, purchasing, and managing all food and non-food supplies for the restaurant, ensuring freshness, quality, and cost control while maintaining strong relationships with suppliers of seafood, produce, meats, and specialty Teochew ingredients.

Key Responsibilities

• Source and negotiate with suppliers for fresh seafood, meat, vegetables, and specialty Teochew ingredients
• Manage relationships with wet market vendors, wholesalers, and specialty importers
• Monitor stock levels and coordinate timely deliveries to avoid shortages or overstocking
• Ensure all purchased goods meet freshness, quality, and food safety standards
• Negotiate pricing and contracts to optimize costs without compromising quality
• Maintain accurate procurement records, purchase orders, and supplier invoices
• Work closely with the Head Chef to understand ingredient needs and seasonal menu changes
• Conduct regular market research to identify new suppliers and cost-saving opportunities
• Ensure compliance with food safety and hygiene regulations
• Manage budgets and provide regular procurement cost reports to management

Requirements

• Minimum 3–5 years of experience in procurement, preferably in F&B or restaurant industry
• Strong knowledge of Chinese/Teochew ingredients and seafood sourcing is highly preferred
• Excellent negotiation and vendor management skills
• Strong organizational and time-management abilities
• Proficiency in Mandarin/Teochew dialect is an advantage (for supplier communication)
• Basic computer skills (Excel, inventory/POS systems)
• Ability to work early mornings for wet market visits when required
• Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving skills
