Murex Tester

Job Summary:

We are looking for a detail-oriented and technically sound Murex Tester to execute
functional, integration, and regression testing for the Murex platform. The ideal candidate
will have strong experience in test case design, defect tracking, and test automation for
Murex modules including Front Office, Risk, Operations, and Reporting.

Key Responsibilities:

• Understand business and system requirements related to Murex modules.
• Design, develop, and execute test cases across trade lifecycle: FO, MO, BO, and Risk.
• Perform end-to-end testing across Murex workflows including trade booking, market data, static data, and reporting.
• Good Experience in Test Analysis, creation of testcases, Execution, Automation etc
• Knowledge on Functional Test strategy
• Validate Murex interfaces (MxML, Datamart, market data feeds) and coordinate with integration teams.
• Execute regression testing and ensure proper impact analysis for change requests and releases.
• Log, track, and manage defects using tools like JIRA, HP ALM, or Quality Center.
• Document test cases, test results, and maintain traceability matrices.
• Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and post-deployment verification.
• Work closely with development, support, and business teams to ensure quality deliverables.

Required Skills and Experience:

• 2+ years of hands-on experience in Murex testing (Murex 3.x).
•  Solid understanding of Murex trade lifecycle, product setup, and workflows.
•  Experience testing Murex modules: MxML, Datamart, Back Office, or Risk.
•  Good working knowledge of SQL/Oracle and Linux for test data preparation and validation.
•  Strong experience with test management tools (JIRA, ALM, TestRail).
•  Familiarity with batch processes and job monitoring tools (e.g., Control-M).
•  Ability to interpret functional specs and write corresponding test scripts.
•  Good communication and coordination skills with global stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with test automation tools (e.g., Selenium, UFT, or custom Murex automation frameworks).
•  Understanding of financial products: FX, IRD, Credit, Commodities, Equities.
•  Exposure to Agile/Scrum methodologies and continuous testing environments.
•  Familiarity with performance testing and non-functional testing is a plus.

Educational Qualifications:

•  Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Finance, or related field.
