Financial Controller

On behalf of our client, who is in the chemical industry, we are looking for a suitable candidate to join them as a Financial Controller (FC)

Reporting Line: Singapore Country Head & HQ Group CFO (China)

Core Responsibilities:

• Leadership & Team Management: Provide leadership, direction, and management to the local finance and accounting team.
• Strategic Partnering: Provide tactical financial recommendations to the Managing Director and collaborate closely with China HQ's management team.
• Financial Planning & HQ Reporting: Manage processes for financial forecasting, budgeting, and month-end/year-end reporting to HQ in business Mandarin.
• Governance & Compliance: Oversee internal control systems and practices to ensure full operational compliance with Singapore statutory regulations and requirements.
• External Stakeholder Engagement: Establish and enhance relationships with external parties, including auditors, tax agents, local regulatory bodies, and corporate banking partners (trade finance desks).

Candidate Requirements:

• Nationality: Singapore Citizen or Permanent Resident (PR)

• Experience & Qualification: Minimum 10 years of accounting experience with proven leadership skills. Must be a Chartered Accountant (CA Singapore).

• Technical Skills:, Strong proficiency inIFRS/SFRS, and familiarity with financial statements consolidation processes.Understanding of China's GAAP and hands-on experience with SAP preferred

• Language & Cultural Acumen: Excellent command of English and Mandarin (spoken and written) to interface seamlessly with China HQ. Proven track record navigating Chinese corporate environments or having been raised in China.
• Attributes: High integrity, collaborative teamwork spirit, and a proactive, hands-on work attitude.
