ASSISTANT COOK

Job Summary

Assist the restaurant cook in preparing authentic Bangladeshi dishes, managing kitchen operations, and ensuring food quality and safety in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook authentic Bangladeshi dishes by following established recipes and quality standards to meet customer expectations
• Manage daily kitchen operations to maintain smooth workflow and ensure timely food preparation
• Monitor food quality, taste, and portion control to maintain consistency across all dishes
• Prepare large quantities of food efficiently for catering orders while maintaining quality and meeting delivery deadlines
• Ensure strict compliance with Singapore food safety, hygiene, and sanitation regulations to maintain a safe kitchen environment
• Coordinate with front-of-house teams to ensure prompt, accurate, and efficient order preparation and service
• Work split shifts from 5:30 AM to 8:30 PM and 5:00 PM to 10:00 AM, including weekends and public holidays, with flexibility for overtime as needed

Preferred competencies and qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience working as a cook in any Bangladeshi restaurant
• Demonstrate effective communication skills to support kitchen teamwork and coordination
• Willingness to follow management decisions to maintain operational harmony
• Bengali language proficiency as an additional skill (not essential for core duties)
