Roles and Responsibilities
Contract Administration – Handle contractual matters involving the Client, Consultants, and Sub-contractors, and ensure site staff understand their contractual obligations toward both the client and subcontractor scopes of work.
Procurement – Source Sub-contractors and Suppliers, invite quotations, conduct cost comparisons, and raise purchase order requests, always aiming to secure the best pricing and terms within the project budget.
Progress Claims & Payments – Prepare and submit progress claims to the Client, evaluate Sub-contractors' claims, and prepare payment vouchers for approval, ensuring healthy and sufficient project cash flow.
Cost Reporting – Track and update the monthly cost report to HQ and the PM, capturing project expenses and financial status so that timely site adjustments can be made where necessary.
VO Claims – Identify variation works and submit the corresponding claims.
Architect Instructions – Review Architect's Instructions issued and report any time and cost implications promptly to the PM to support well-informed decisions.
Site Coordination – Support the team with site coordination and arrange meetings with Sub-contractors and Suppliers to drive work progress as needed.
Meetings & Advisory – Attend project and technical meetings and advise the PM on cost queries raised by the Owner or Consultants to keep site progress running smoothly.
Measurement – Carry out accurate measurement and quantity take-offs for claims and payment purposes to prevent any overpayment.
Progress Reporting – Work with the site team to compile the necessary documents for monthly progress report submissions — including cash flow, Sub-contractors list, AI list, and VO list — for the Client and Consultants.
Final Accounts – Finalise the overall project cost and individual trade costs, and advise the PM on final account settlement with the Client and Sub-contractors, ensuring all parties are agreeable to the cost assessment.
Team Leadership – Able to manage and mentor junior staff.
