Principal Manager, SkillsFuture Advisory
About this job
As an advocate for lifelong learning, you will lead a team of SkillsFuture Advisors (SFA) to empower individuals in learning and career development. You will collaborate with Community Development Councils (CDC) and stakeholders to drive outreach, engagement strategies, and promote lifelong learning.
Outreach & Engagement
- Plan, implement, and drive engagement strategies to promote Skills and Workforce Development Agency’s (SWDA) programmes and key lifelong learning, career and skills development messages targeted at individuals
- Manage and engage key CDC stakeholders at multiple levels to assess community needs and ensure programme relevance
- Identify and develop new partnerships with community groups, grassroots organisations, associations, and institutions to expand outreach and collaboration
- Devise and execute team strategies to co-organise events such as workshops, roadshows, and jobs and skills fairs that enhance employability and skills upgrading
- Plan and organise community events and activities that encourage lifelong learning and skills development
- Collaborate with various touchpoints to refer individuals to appropriate agencies and resources, facilitating actions in lifelong learning, career development, and employment
Training Administration and Conduct Workshops
- Oversee operational support and effective implementation of SFA events and programmes, including monitoring, analysing, and reviewing event performance and trends to improve future outreach
- Work with partners and stakeholders to continuously enhance workshop content for relevance and accuracy
- Plan and organise physical or virtual SFA workshops and major events such as the SkillsFuture Festival
- Deliver workshops that guide individuals in AI awareness and adoption, career planning, and navigating job and skill training resources to support career and skill development actions
Requirements
- Experience in leading teams, projects, or programmes.
- Experience in stakeholder engagement and programme implementation.
- Ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills.
- Strong interest in lifelong learning and supporting Singaporeans' employability.
- Experience in strategy formulation or policy development.
- Experience in community work or training.
- Knowledge of government schemes, programmes, and service touchpoints.
Candidates who do not have the required qualification or relevant experience are welcome to apply.
Successful candidates will be offered a 2-year contract in the first instance and may be considered for an extension or be placed on a permanent tenure.
