Systems Engineer (Unix / Airport)

We are seeking 2 Singaporeans to join as Systems Engineers X 2 (UNIX/Airport) to join our client's team.

We also welcome candidates with IT Diploma and UNIX platform / database exposure, even without relevant work experience, provided they are willing to learn.

• 1 year contract under agency payroll
• Salary: $3000 – $5000, depending on experience
• Work Location: Changi Airport
• Required to be on 24×7 standby
• 0.5-month completion bonus upon successful completion of the contract, subject to PM’s recommendation
• 0.5-month performance bonus, subject to employee performance and PM’s recommendation

Job Description

Assist in Project Implementation and Maintenance of the Implemented System.

Primary Purpose

• Perform and ensure routine maintenance activities are carried out as scheduled.
• Perform OS/application upgrades/patching.
• Attend to system or application service and change request.
• Provide resolution for all application and/or technical incidents and work with external support if required.
• Identify root cause, preventive and corrective measures for identified problems to prevent recurring incidents.
• Provide incident and problem reporting for all stakeholders in timely and professional manner.
• Assist in preparing system related documents and ISO Audit
• Participate in new project implementation, requirement gathering, setup & installation, testing and commissioning.
  

Requirement:

• Singaporean (Need to clear project clearance and pre-employment check)
• Required to be on 24 x 7 standby
• Possess at least a Diploma or its equivalent in Computer / IT with minimum 2-3 years working experience in related field.
• Diploma graduates with Unix platform and database experience or relevant Unix skillsets may also be considered.
• 2-3 years of working experience as a System Engineer supporting application of UNIX/LINUX platform and database.
• Trained or certified in Windows Server, UNIX/LINUX, VM and ITIL would be advantageous.
• Analytical, proactive and able to multi-task and prioritize all work assigned.
• Team player with good English communication skills who can also work independently under minimum supervision.
• Motivated individual with challenger spirit and leadership are strongly encouraged to apply.
• Exceptional troubleshooting and customer-handling skills would be advantageous.
• Proactive and responsive on all assigned tasks and incidents and follow up
