SharePoint / M365 Solutions Architect

Job Summary

You will design and lead the architecture of SharePoint and Microsoft 365 environments, advising stakeholders and shaping future collaboration technology, including early adoption of AI tools like Microsoft Copilot.

Responsibilities

• Design and own the architecture of SharePoint and Microsoft 365 environments, including site structure, permissions, governance, and integration with business systems
• Advise stakeholders by translating business needs into practical, well-designed collaboration solutions
• Lead technical discussions on integrating emerging tools such as Microsoft Copilot, assessing feasibility, data governance, licensing, and rollout planning
• Establish best practices and standards for configuration, security, and maintenance of collaboration platforms
• Review and guide engineers and administrators to ensure implementations align with architectural designs
• Monitor Microsoft 365 platform updates and identify opportunities or risks for the organization
• Support project planning and scoping for upgrades, pilots, and future initiatives

Required competencies and certifications

• 10–15 years of hands-on experience with SharePoint and Microsoft 365 / Office 365 ecosystems
• Proven ability to design and architect enterprise-scale collaboration environments beyond administration
• Strong knowledge of governance, security, and permissions models within SharePoint and Microsoft 365
• Effective communication skills to explain technical decisions clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders

Preferred competencies and qualifications

• Experience with Power Platform (Power Automate, Power Apps) or Microsoft Teams architecture
• Prior involvement in digital workplace transformation or platform migration projects
• Relevant Microsoft certifications such as Microsoft 365 Certified: Enterprise Administrator Expert or equivalent
