Job Responsibilities

  • Provide guidance and advice on Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) non-compliance issues and unsafe work practices.
  • Monitor workplace activities and identify potential safety hazards, non-compliance issues, and unsafe conditions.
  • Notify relevant personnel of emergency situations and potential incident escalations.
  • Support and implement WSH programs, initiatives, and risk control measures.
  • Collect, maintain, and analyze WSH-related data, including performance metrics, workplace conditions, and safety practices.
  • Conduct emergency response exercises and drills to ensure preparedness.
  • Perform routine safety inspections and audits of work activities across departments.
  • Facilitate safety inductions, orientations, and awareness programs for employees and contractors.
  • Recommend corrective and preventive actions to prevent the recurrence of incidents and accidents.
  • Communicate WSH regulatory requirements, company policies, and safe work procedures relevant to employees’ work areas.
  • Respond effectively to emergencies in accordance with the Emergency Preparedness and Response Plan (EPRP).
  • Ensure compliance with established WSH policies, procedures, and statutory requirements.
  • Assist in incident and accident investigations by gathering information, analyzing findings, and preparing reports.
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of corrective and preventive actions implemented.
  • Alert personnel to potential health hazards, including exposure to harmful gases, fumes, and other workplace risks.
  • Participate in WSH inspections, audits, and compliance assessments.
  • Report safety concerns, unsafe conditions, and non-compliance issues to management and relevant stakeholders promptly.
  • Respond promptly and appropriately to workplace incidents and accidents.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance workplace safety performance and risk management practices.

Job Requirements

  • Possess the required certification(s) for a Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) Coordinator.
  • Minimum 1 year of relevant experience in the construction industry.
  • Sound knowledge of construction site safety regulations, procedures, and best practices.
  • Strong sense of responsibility, initiative, and commitment to workplace safety.
  • Self-motivated, proactive, and able to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
