M&E ENGINEER

M&E Engineer

Job Summary
We are looking for a competent and experienced M&E Engineer to oversee the planning, design, coordination, installation, testing and commissioning of mechanical and electrical systems for construction projects. The successful candidate will work closely with consultants, contractors, subcontractors and project teams to ensure that M&E works are completed safely, on schedule, within budget and in accordance with project specifications and Singapore standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate and manage mechanical and electrical works for construction projects.

• Review and interpret M&E drawings, specifications and technical documents.

• Coordinate M&E works with architectural, structural and other building services works.

• Liaise with consultants, clients, main contractors and subcontractors on technical matters.

• Monitor site progress and ensure M&E installation works comply with approved drawings, specifications and relevant regulations.

• Carry out site inspections and identify technical issues, defects and clashes.

• Prepare and review shop drawings, material submissions, method statements and technical submissions.

• Coordinate with BIM/modeling teams to resolve M&E clashes and ensure accurate coordination.

• Supervise testing, commissioning and handover of M&E systems.

• Monitor project schedules, manpower, materials and equipment requirements.

• Attend site meetings and coordinate with relevant project stakeholders.

• Ensure M&E works comply with Singapore Standards, Workplace Safety and Health requirements and relevant authorities' requirements.

• Assist with variation orders, progress claims and other project documentation.

• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues during construction and commissioning.

• Prepare as-built drawings, operation and maintenance documents and handover records.

Requirements

• Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Building Services Engineering, M&E Engineering or a related discipline.

• Minimum 2–5 years of relevant M&E experience in the construction industry.

• Good knowledge of mechanical and electrical building services systems.

• Familiarity with Singapore construction practices, regulations and relevant codes/standards.

• Experience in site coordination, testing and commissioning is preferred.

• Knowledge of AutoCAD and BIM/Revit is an advantage.

• Good communication, coordination and problem-solving skills.

• Able to work independently as well as in a team.

• Willing to work on construction sites and meet project deadlines.
