PROJECT MANAGER

• Overall responsibility for the Project Department in planning, operations, cost management and human resource management/development
• Oversee all turnkey-based project work and selection/ management of sub-contractors to ensure project is completed on time through the Project Manager (local and overseas)
• Prepare and submit project plan, project progress and final reports to Group GM of Operations for submission to MD as part of the periodic management report
• Assist to prepare contracts, negotiate revisions and any other changes/additions to contractual agreements
• Plan and manage budgets
• Coordinate with other department managers within the firm to ensure that project is not delayed
• Monitor milestones and deadlines
• Analysis of data and information to recommend and ensure continuous process improvement
• Attend owner / yard meetings if necessary
• Escalate any issues to Group GM of Operations if needed

Qualification:

• Diploma or Degree in Mechanical/Marine engineering
• 8 years of work experience including substantial work experience in shipyards
• Experience in marine and offshore or industrial environment
• Strong project management and communication skills
• Resourceful and a strong problem-solver
• Ability to work under pressure and tight deadlines
• Integrity and a strong sense of responsibility
