Job Summary

Assist the Procurement Manager in managing product sales performance and yield studies for fresh categories to optimize returns and meet business KPIs.

Responsibilities

• Manage supplier and contracted partner relationships to ensure consistent product supply and quality
• Monitor product sales, margins, mix, range, and promotions to achieve predefined KPIs
• Oversee standing orders, central purchase orders, and direct supplies to maintain inventory accuracy
• Collaborate with stakeholders to develop customized product mixes that increase profitability
• Coordinate onsite offers, thematic promotions, and publicized campaigns on press and social media to drive sales targets
• Source new supplier leads from origins or main principals to expand product offerings
• Compile detailed reports and deliver presentations to management and stakeholders for informed decision-making
• Conduct regular customer visits to gather feedback and strengthen business relationships
• Participate in overseas procurement, inspection visits, and trade events to identify new opportunities
• Perform additional duties as assigned to support procurement objectives

Preferred competencies and qualifications

• Prior buying or supply experience in supermarket retail trade is advantageous
• Possession of a valid driving license and own transport is preferred for site visits and supplier meetings
• Strong IT literacy with proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint to analyze data and prepare presentations
• Self-motivated, target-driven, meticulous, analytical, skilled in negotiation, and effective communication

• 5.25 days work week (Alternate Saturday)
