About the Company
Our client is an established Singapore-based freight forwarding company founded in 1970. The company provides air and ocean freight forwarding, warehousing and specialised supply chain solutions for industries including aerospace, pharmaceuticals and project cargo.
Job Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate financial accounting records and assist with day-to-day finance operations.
- Manage accounts receivable and accounts payable activities.
- Perform invoice posting, verification, payment processing, account offsetting, contra entries, reconciliations and proper filing of supporting documents.
- Monitor outstanding receivables and follow up with customers on overdue payments.
- Maintain clear records of collection actions, agreed timelines, payment disputes and outstanding account statuses.
- Ensure that accounts receivable and accounts payable reports are prepared accurately and on time for month-end and year-end closing.
- Perform balance sheet and profit and loss account reconciliations.
- Analyse financial information and provide accurate and timely financial data to management.
- Assist in developing and improving finance policies, procedures and work practices to strengthen internal controls.
- Coordinate year-end closing activities and prepare financial information and supporting documents requested by external auditors.
- Provide general office and administrative support when required.
- Undertake other finance-related duties assigned by management.
Requirements
- Degree in Accountancy, Finance or a related discipline, or a recognised professional qualification such as ACCA.
- Sound understanding of accounting principles and accounts receivable and accounts payable processes.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.
- Careful, organised and able to maintain accurate financial records.
- Able to manage deadlines and work independently while collaborating effectively with other departments.
- Good analytical, communication and follow-up skills.
- Experience in accounting, accounts receivable, accounts payable or accounting software will be an advantage.

- Workplace is located at Cargo Agents Building C, near Changi Airport.
- Salary will be offered within the stated range based on the candidate’s relevant qualifications, skills and experience.
