Job Overview

We are looking for a hands-on Technical Officer to support the daily operation and maintenance of building facilities and electrical systems.

The role will work closely with the Engineer to coordinate preventive and corrective maintenance, supervise technicians and contractors, troubleshoot equipment faults, and ensure maintenance activities are completed safely and on schedule.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the Engineer in planning and coordinating preventive and corrective maintenance activities.
  • Supervise maintenance, repair and variation works carried out on site.
  • Monitor major maintenance activities and provide regular progress updates.
  • Troubleshoot equipment and system breakdowns and identify the root cause of faults.
  • Attend to and oversee electrical maintenance works.
  • Lead and coordinate technicians in day-to-day facilities operations and maintenance activities.
  • Prepare technical reports covering breakdowns, findings and recommended solutions.
  • Monitor ad-hoc facilities projects and ensure works are completed according to schedule.
  • Maintain proper maintenance records and documentation.
  • Ensure works are carried out in accordance with site safety and Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) requirements.
  • Perform other facilities-related duties when required.

Requirements

  • Diploma in Electrical Engineering or related discipline.
  • At least 3 years of relevant Facilities Management experience.
  • Good hands-on knowledge of electrical systems, maintenance and troubleshooting.
  • Experience in preventive maintenance, breakdown maintenance and fault investigation.
  • Able to supervise technicians and coordinate maintenance activities.
  • Licensed Electrical Worker (LEW) accreditation by the Energy Market Authority will be an advantage.
  • Good technical reporting and documentation skills.
  • Strong safety awareness and good WSH practices.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Positive, hardworking and willing to learn.
  • Able to handle multiple tasks and work effectively in an operational environment.
