Overview
The incumbent will lead the hospital's emergencypreparedness program, providing oversight and strategic coordination to ensureeffective response to various emergencies, such as pandemics/IT downtime etc.The role involves supervising the emergency planning team, coordinating withstakeholders, and ensuring alignment with MOH directives.
Job Responsibilities
You will be responsible for the following:
1. EmergencyPlanning Program Management
- Manage day-to-day emergency preparedness operations and activities
- Oversee implementation of emergency response plans and SOPs
- Coordinate emergency preparedness activities across departments
- Monitor compliance with established emergency preparedness procedures
- Support senior management in strategic planning initiatives
2. TeamLeadership and Supervision
- Supervise Assistant Manager/Senior Executive(s)/Executive(s) in Emergency Planning team
- Manage team performance and provide coaching support
- Coordinate team workload and resource allocation
- Support staff development and training initiatives
3. CrisisManagement and Incident Response
- Coordinate departmental response during emergency activations
- Support Operations Centre setup and operations during crisis
- Ensure proper incident documentation and reporting procedures
- Assist in post-incident reviews and follow-up actions
4. Equipmentand Resource Management
- Coordinate EP equipment procurement and maintenance activities
- Monitor equipment inventory and readiness status
- Support budget planning and expenditure tracking
- Liaise with Biomedical Equipment Department on asset management
5. IGHPlanning Coordination
- Lead departmental participation in IGH Ops Centre planning
- Coordinate with medical planners and campus planning teams
- Oversee preparation of EP requirements for IGH implementation
- Manage IGH-related procurement planning and timeline adherence
6. Administrativeand Project Support
- Provide secretariat support for BCM Steering Committee meetings
- Support MOH EP projects and initiatives as assigned
- Coordinate with stakeholders on emergency preparedness matters
- Assist in IGH emergency preparedness planning activities
Requirements
- Minimum 4-6 years of experience in healthcare operations or emergency management
- Minimum 2 years in supervisory roles
- Familiarity with healthcare regulatory environment
- Basic project coordination experience
- Team leadership and people management skills
- Emergency planning and crisis response knowledge
- Good communication and coordination abilities
- Basic budget and resource management
- Analytical and problem-solving skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Ability to work under pressure and manage priorities
