Your Role
You will join the Quality Assurance (QA) Section which is equipped with advanced and comprehensive laboratory facilities. You will assist the chemist to contribute to the laboratory's commitment to meet relevant safety, environmental and quality management standards and support production process to meet organizational objectives.
Your Responsibilities
- Work with a team of analysts and technicians to perform testing and analysis of semi-finished and finished polyolefin product (Polyethylene and Polypropylene) via a variety of sophisticated analytical, processing and testing equipment.
- Establish, update and maintain procedures and other quality and safety records to ensure they are accurate and up-to-date, and in compliance with regulatory standards.
- Oversee proper upkeep of the laboratory equipment to ensure they are always in good working condition. To carry out basic troubleshooting in case of equipment trouble, or to work closely with the vendor’s technical representative to diagnose problems, troubleshoot issue and to implement solutions in a timely manner.
- Conduct regular monitoring of stock level of laboratory inventory supply, and upkeeping of inventory records to ensure smooth day to day operation.
- Collaborate with other Sales and Production members to assist in troubleshooting and technical investigation.
- Participate in laboratory ISO and safety activities that will contribute to a safe work environment and to comply to safety and environmental regulations.
Your Competencies
- You should possess a Degree in Chemistry and/or a Diploma in Chemical Process Technology (major in Polymer Science or Material Science is a plus) with several years of experience in the Polymer Industry.
- Experience in polymer material processing and testing will be an added advantage.
- You are a team player with good interpersonal skills, initiative, drive, possess good communication skills (written and verbal), ability to work under pressure and maintaining accuracy under tight work schedule.
