Available Position: Freelance Science Tutor
We are looking for dedicated and engaging tutors to join our growing team.
Subjects:
- Primary Science
- Lower Secondary Science
- Upper Secondary Science (Physics / Chemistry / Biology)
- Junior College/IP Science (Physics / Chemistry / Biology)
- International Curriculum (IGCSE / IB)
Compensation:
Competitive hourly rates based on experience and class size
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver engaging Science lessons aligned with MOE / IGCSE / IB syllabuses
- Explain complex scientific concepts clearly and foster curiosity in inquiry-based learning
- Encourage critical thinking, experimentation, and application of scientific knowledge
- Adapt lesson materials to different learning styles and proficiency levels
- Mark assignments, provide constructive feedback, and monitor student progress
- Communicate effectively with parents and the Academic Head
- Contribute to curriculum development and resource creation
Requirements
- Open to Singapore Citizens and Permanent Residents only
- University Degree (Education or subject-relevant field preferred)
- Strong command of English and solid grounding in scientific principles
- Prior teaching or tutoring experience preferred
- Passionate about teaching and inspiring confidence in learners
- Patient, adaptable, and committed to student success
- Able to teach after-school hours and/or weekends
