Associate Design Director / Design Director

About the Role

We are looking for a senior design leader to head our design function at a premium, design-led interior design and build firm based in Singapore. We work on high-value residential and commercial projects (minimum $300K), serving discerning homeowners and businesses across landed properties, luxury condominiums, and commercial spaces.

This is a leadership role for someone who can balance creative vision with commercial acumen—someone who can lead client engagements with confidence, elevate design quality across the studio, and mentor a team while remaining hands-on with design output.

Key Responsibility

• Client-Facing Design Leadership
• Lead client engagements from first consultation through concept, design development, and final presentation.
• Represent the brand's design philosophy with polish and authority in front of high-net-worth clients and business owners.
• Translate client lifestyles and requirements into compelling, buildable spatial designs.
• Design Quality & Brand Standard
• Own and uphold the studio's design standard—ensuring every project reflects our premium positioning.
• Review and elevate design output across the team, from concept boards to construction drawings.
• Drive material selection, detailing, and finish quality appropriate to the luxury segment.
• Pipeline & Revenue Contribution
• Support business development through design pitches and proposal presentations.
• Convert enquiries into signed projects through design credibility and client trust.
• Collaborate with management on positioning, showroom, and brand-building initiatives.
• Team Management
• Lead, mentor, and develop the design team.
• Manage design workflows, timelines, and resource allocation across concurrent projects.
• Coordinate with project management and quantity surveying teams to ensure design intent is delivered on site.

What You Bring

• Minimum 10 years of interior design experience, specifically in the Singapore market.
• Strong portfolio spanning luxury residential (landed and high-end condominiums) and commercial projects—this is essential.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, SketchUp, and related design tools.
• Confident, polished, and credible in front of high-net-worth clients—excellent presentation and communication skills.
• Able to lead and mentor a team while remaining hands-on with design quality and output.
