[ENTRY] Network & Cybersecurity Engineer

Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 8.30am–6.00pm (Hybrid working arrangement)
Salary: Up to SGD 4,800 + Variable Bonus
Employment Type: Full-time Contract (1 year, highly renewable with opportunities for long-term renewal)

Position Overview

You will play an integral role in maintaining a robust and resilient network infrastructure that enables cutting-edge scientific research, cross-border collaborations and network technology demonstrations among the Research and Education communities in Singapore and their international partners.

Training and development opportunities will be provided to support your professional growth and help you perform your responsibilities effectively.

Key Responsibilities

• Engage member organisations and provide technical assistance for network connectivity requirements.
• Support the development and operation of Science DMZ and Data Lake environments.
• Set up, manage and support authorisation and access infrastructure.
• Implement, configure and maintain servers, network devices and related infrastructure.
• Monitor network and system performance and troubleshoot technical issues.
• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to deploy AIOps solutions.
• Support network technology demonstrations and research collaboration initiatives.
• Maintain relevant technical documentation and operational procedures.

Requirements

• Degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science or a related discipline.
• Familiarity with Linux environments and containerisation technologies such as Docker.
• Good understanding of fundamental networking concepts and protocols.
• Programming or scripting knowledge, preferably in Python.
• Knowledge or experience in application development will be advantageous.
• Basic knowledge of artificial intelligence, machine learning or AIOps will be advantageous.
