Senior Tax Manager / Tax Assistant Manager

About the Opportunity

We are a fast-growing professional shared services organisation supporting SMEs and regional businesses across Singapore and Southeast Asia.

As we continue to expand our advisory capabilities, we are looking for an experienced Singapore Tax professional who is passionate about helping businesses navigate complex tax matters while leading and developing a high-performing team.

This is more than a tax compliance role. You will be a trusted advisor to business owners, work alongside corporate secretarial and accounting professionals, and play a key role in building our tax advisory practice.

Key Responsibilities

Client Advisory

• Provide practical Singapore tax advisory services to SMEs and growing businesses.
• Advise clients on corporate income tax, tax planning, restructuring, group reorganisations and cross-border transactions.
• Support business owners in understanding the tax implications of commercial decisions.
• Identify tax optimisation opportunities while ensuring regulatory compliance.
• Review tax positions and provide recommendations to minimise tax risks.

Tax Compliance

• Review corporate income tax computations and tax returns.
• Review Estimated Chargeable Income (ECI) submissions.
• Review Form C-S and Form C filings.
• Review withholding tax and GST matters where applicable.
• Handle IRAS queries, audits and tax investigations.
• Keep abreast of changes in Singapore tax legislation and communicate their impact to clients and internal teams.

Team Leadership

• Lead, coach and mentor a team of tax professionals.
• Review work prepared by team members to ensure technical accuracy and quality.
• Conduct technical training and knowledge-sharing sessions.
• Improve tax processes, templates and workflow efficiency.
• Drive productivity through automation and AI-enabled tools.

Business Development

• Identify advisory opportunities within existing client portfolios.
• Work closely with Corporate Secretarial, Accounting and Client Management teams to provide integrated business solutions.
• Participate in client meetings, seminars and thought leadership initiatives.
• Contribute to developing new tax service offerings.

Requirements

• Degree in Accountancy, Taxation or related discipline.
• Minimum 6–10 years of Singapore corporate tax experience within a public accounting or professional services environment.
• Strong knowledge of:
• Singapore Corporate Income Tax
• ECI
• Form C-S / Form C
• IRAS regulations
• Tax planning and advisory
• Cross-border tax matters
• Corporate restructuring
• Experience leading and mentoring a tax team.
• Strong client relationship management and presentation skills.
• Commercial mindset with the ability to identify value-added advisory opportunities.
• Able to communicate effectively with business owners and senior management.
