Job Summary

Manage and coordinate laboratory operations to deliver timely, accurate testing services. Support the Laboratory Manager in achieving financial and quality objectives while enforcing safety and quality control systems.

Responsibilities

• Organize and prioritize sample testing to deliver timely results that enhance customer satisfaction and support revenue growth
• Communicate clearly with inspection staff and clients to ensure smooth laboratory operations and effective project collaboration
• Log all received samples with unique identifiers to maintain traceability and data integrity
• Review test reports and coordinate with inspection, operations staff, and clients to resolve issues and clarify results
• Maintain laboratory housekeeping in compliance with Good Laboratory Practices to ensure a safe and efficient work environment
• Collaborate with technical staff to troubleshoot equipment and testing issues, minimizing delays and maintaining service efficiency
• Contribute to quality system improvements by initiating new procedures and controls aligned with company standards
• Participate in internal quality audits as directed to uphold laboratory accreditation and compliance
• Assist in training programs and monitor round robin sample test data to support staff development and testing accuracy
• Monitor and enforce laboratory safety protocols to maintain a safe workplace
• Supervise and monitor daily activities of laboratory analysts and technicians to ensure productivity and quality standards
• Deputize for the Laboratory Manager during absences or as needed to maintain operational continuity
• Monitor and improve laboratory productivity, targets, and key performance indicators (KPIs) to meet business goals
• Coordinate manpower scheduling, attendance, leave, and overtime to ensure accurate HR records and adequate staffing
• Undertake additional assignments as directed by the Laboratory Manager to support laboratory functions
• Perform other duties as requested by the company to contribute to overall laboratory success

Preferred competencies and qualifications

• Experience in laboratory operations and quality control systems
• Strong communication skills to liaise effectively with staff and clients
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and coordinate team schedules
• Familiarity with Good Laboratory Practices and safety standards
