Junior/Laboratory Analyst

Responsibilities
- Conduct laboratory testing and analysis of oil and gas / chemical (OGC) samples using prescribed standard test methods, techniques, and instruments.
- Interpret and report test results accurately and in a timely manner based on established test methods.
- Maintain detailed and accurate records of all analyses performed.
- Complete laboratory reports as required.
- Ensure compliance with laboratory safety protocols, quality control procedures, and regulatory requirements.
- Keep updated on laboratory safety practices, reporting techniques, and analytical methods.
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Requirements
- Diploma / Degree in Science, Chemistry, or a related field.
- Relevant work experience in the OGC industry or a laboratory environment is an advantage.
- Ability to understand and follow ASTM standards and procedures.
- Comfortable working with chemicals, petrochemical, and petroleum products.
- Able to accurately differentiate colours by sight.
- Able to work effectively under pressure and manage multiple tasks with different deadlines.
- Good interpersonal and communication skills.
- High level of accuracy with strong attention to detail.
- Able to multitask and work independently as well as in a team.
- Positive attitude and good teamwork.
- Willing to learn and adapt to Good Laboratory Practice (GLP).
- Proactive in maintaining housekeeping standards before and after work.
- Dependable and reliable, with good attendance and commitment to work.
- Required to work a 12-hour rotating shift upon confirmation after the 3-month probation period.
