Principal, Capital Markets Asia (Global Private Equity Firm)

Lico Resources is partnering with a leading global private equity firm to hire a Principal for its Asia private equity capital markets function.

This is a senior mandate — you'll act as the firm's specialist voice on financing strategy for its Asia portfolio, reporting to a senior partner and working closely with deal teams and portfolio-company management.

The Remit

Deal Execution — Lead financing for new investments and refinancings across the portfolio: acquisitions, recapitalisations, and everything in between. Run the bank-selection process, push lenders through competitive tension, shape terms, and see documentation through to close alongside legal counsel.

Lender Relationships — Keep the firm's relationships with banks, private credit funds and institutional lenders in good working order, and use that market read to advise deal teams on financing strategy and timing.

Portfolio Oversight — Track debt maturities, covenant headroom and refinancing risk across the portfolio. Keep an eye on hedging for rate and FX exposure, and think through the financing angles as portfolio companies approach an IPO or other exit. Some equity-side work too — supporting co-investment syndication alongside the deal and fundraising teams.

What We're Looking For

10+ years in debt capital markets, leveraged finance or investment banking, with real financings closed — not just coverage or advisory experience. Existing relationships across the lender base, and the confidence to structure and negotiate without much hand-holding. Strong enough as a communicator to move between deal teams, portfolio company management and external banks in the same week.
