Chef / Assistant Chef

ROLE OVERVIEW:

We are looking for a skilled and committed Chef/Assistant Chef who is able to prepare both North, South Indian and Malay cuisine. The ideal candidate will maintain high standards of food quality, hygiene, and customer satisfaction, and is flexible to work rotational shifts, weekends, and public holidays. 6 days per week and 8 hours per day. our restaurant don't serve pork and beef. we also don't serve alcohol.

KEYRESPONSIBILITIES:

• Prepare and cook authentic North, South Indian and Malay dishes according to recipes and quality standards
• Ensure food is prepared in a timely, consistent, and hygienic manner
• Maintain excellent personal hygiene and comply with food safety standards
• Monitor food quality, portion control, and presentation
• Work closely with the kitchen team to ensure smooth operations
• Maintain cleanliness of kitchen, equipment, and workstations
• Be customer-oriented, responding positively to feedback when required
• Ensure punctuality, good attendance, and reliability at all times

REQUIREMENTS:

• Proven ability to cook North, South Indian and Malay dishes
• Good attendance and punctuality
• Excellent personal hygiene and understanding of food safety practices
• Committed, responsible, and hardworking attitude
• Customer-focused and team-oriented
• Able to work weekends, public holidays, and rotational shifts
• Physically fit to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment
• Possess a valid Food Hygiene Certificate
