Curatorial & Research Assistant

Job Summary

The Architecture Centre situated in an upcoming development seeks a full-time Research and Curatorial Assistant to support programming and curatorial efforts that enhance public understanding of architecture through exhibitions, films, social media, tours, talks, and publications.

Responsibilities

• Assist the executive director in planning and executing programming that promotes public engagement with architecture and built environment topics
• Conduct in-depth research on social, cultural, political, aesthetic, and technical aspects of architecture to inform content development
• Write clear, engaging materials for exhibitions, publications, and digital platforms to communicate architectural issues effectively
• Design and produce graphic and exhibition materials that support temporary and permanent exhibitions and events
• Manage and coordinate the production, launch, and ongoing operations of exhibitions, short films, social media content, walking tours, talks, and publications
• Utilize social media platforms to create and disseminate content that increases public awareness and participation
• Support the development and management of the future 2,000sqm Architecture Centre, ensuring alignment with its mission and audience engagement goals

Preferred competencies and qualifications

• Proficiency in graphic design software and exhibition design principles
• Experience creating and managing social media content for cultural or educational organizations
• Strong interest in architecture’s impact on society and urban environments
• Ability to work collaboratively in a dynamic, multidisciplinary team environment
• Recent graduates with a passion for architecture and urban engagement are encouraged to apply
