Job Summary
Engage customers to design and propose enterprise infrastructure architectures, deliver technical solutions, and manage multi-service projects with a focus on private cloud and software-defined data centers.
Responsibilities
- Engage with customers to gather and analyze infrastructure requirements for tailored solutions
- Design and propose enterprise infrastructure architectures including storage, compute, virtualization/containerization, backup, observability, and network components
- Conduct product demonstrations and presentations to effectively communicate technical solutions
- Develop and deliver detailed technical proposals and accurate quotes to support sales efforts
- Collaborate with sales teams to identify and pursue business opportunities
- Monitor industry trends and competitor products to inform solution design and positioning
- Provide technical support and strategic product positioning to enhance customer satisfaction
- Manage partnerships with key vendors to ensure solution quality and alignment
- Collaborate with pre-sales experts across disciplines to develop comprehensive infrastructure solutions
- Manage large-scale programs involving multi-service line teams, including project planning, scheduling, budgeting, resource allocation, quality assurance, and stakeholder communications
- Build and maintain trusted relationships with stakeholders at various organizational levels
- Prioritize tasks and manage tight deadlines to ensure timely delivery of projects
- Demonstrate hands-on, self-directed execution with professional planning and preparation
- Work effectively both independently and as part of a team to achieve project goals
Required Competencies and Certifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent
- Minimum 4 years of experience designing large-scale infrastructure, with at least 2 years focused on private cloud environments
- Experience with Software-Defined Data Centers (SDDC) and private cloud orchestration
- Proven track record managing multi-million dollar projects in government or commercial sectors
- Possession of one or more professional networking certifications such as VCDX, HPE, Azure, or equivalent
Preferred Competencies and Qualifications
- Familiarity and strength with compute and virtualization/containerization solutions (e.g., HPE, Dell, Cisco, VMWare, Nutanix, Microsoft)
- Familiarity with storage and data management solutions (e.g., Pure Storage, Hitachi, EMC)
- Familiarity with backup and recovery solutions (e.g., Rubrik, Veritas, Cohesity, Veeam)
- Familiarity with observability solutions (e.g., Solarwinds, Splunk)
- Experience working with the IM8 Framework and public sector infrastructure
