As we continue to grow, we are looking for an Accounts Executive to join our team and manage the accounting needs of our clients.
Job Description
As an Accounts Executive, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate accounting records and supporting a portfolio of SME clients across different industries.
You will work closely with clients and the Account-Ink team to ensure their accounts are properly maintained and reporting and statutory deadlines are met.
Key Responsibilities
- Handle full sets of accounts for a portfolio of clients
- Perform monthly and year-end bookkeeping
- Record and review accounting transactions
- Manage Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR)
- Perform bank and balance sheet reconciliations
- Prepare Profit & Loss, Balance Sheet and other management reports
- Prepare year-end schedules and accounts for financial statement preparation
- Assist with the preparation of unaudited financial statements
- Prepare and assist with quarterly GST reporting and submissions
- Assist with corporate income tax computation, ECI and Form C-S/Form C submissions
- Review clients' accounting records and identify missing or unusual transactions
- Liaise with clients to obtain supporting documents and clarify accounting matters
- Ensure accounting records and supporting documents are properly maintained
- Assist with payroll-related matters where required
- Work with Xero and other cloud-based accounting tools
- Support the team in improving accounting workflows and internal processes
- Ensure assigned work is completed accurately and within agreed deadlines
- Perform other accounting and finance-related duties when required
Job Requirements
We are looking for someone who is responsible, organised and comfortable managing multiple client accounts.
Requirements
- Diploma or Degree in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline
- Preferably 1–3 years of relevant accounting experience
- Experience handling full sets of accounts
- Good understanding of Singapore accounting practices
- Good knowledge of Singapore GST and corporate income tax
- Experience working in an accounting firm, corporate services firm or outsourced accounting environment will be an advantage
- Familiarity with Xero or other cloud accounting software is preferred
- Able to communicate professionally with clients
- Good command of written and spoken English
- Ability to communicate in Mandarin will be an advantage when supporting Chinese-speaking clients
- Detail-oriented with a strong sense of responsibility
- Able to manage multiple clients and deadlines independently
- Willing to learn and take ownership of assigned work
