Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced System Analyst (Java) to analyze business requirements, design and develop enterprise applications, and support the implementation and maintenance of web-based systems. You will work closely with business users and technical teams to deliver scalable, high-quality solutions throughout the software development lifecycle.

Responsibilities

• Gather, analyze, and translate business requirements into clear functional and technical specifications to guide development efforts
• Design, develop, test, implement, and maintain enterprise Java and web-based applications to meet business needs
• Perform system and database design, application enhancements, troubleshooting, and provide production support to ensure system reliability
• Collaborate with stakeholders and technical teams to ensure timely project delivery and adherence to development standards and best practices
• Apply Java Enterprise Technologies including Spring Framework (Spring Boot, Spring Batch, Spring Web), Hibernate, JPA, Angular/AngularJS, Apache Spark, Node.js, Struts, JBoss (WildFly), WebLogic, and WebSphere in application development
• Develop and maintain web applications using JSF, AJAX, RESTful and SOAP Web Services, WSRP, and Web IDE tools
• Utilize platforms and environments such as J2EE Platform (Apache HTTP Server), Microsoft Azure, Unix, Windows, and Open Systems for deployment and operations
• Design and manage databases using DB2, MongoDB, and write programming code in Java, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, XML, and SQL to support application functionality
• Use development tools including Microsoft Visual Studio, IBM Integrated Development System for z/OS (IDz), and apply Object-Oriented Analysis and Design (OOAD) principles with Java EE/Spring Framework and persistence frameworks like Hibernate or JPA

Preferred competencies and qualifications

• Experience with messaging systems such as IBM MQ, Responsive Web Design, Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA), and Rules Engines to enhance system integration and flexibility
• Familiarity with Linux, Microsoft SQL Server, testing tools, Apache Web Server, or Microsoft IIS for diverse platform support
• Knowledge of Azure Spring Apps and Azure DevOps including source control, pipelines, and configurations to support cloud-based development and deployment
• Exposure to AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot or Amazon Q Developer to improve coding efficiency and quality

• Employment type: Contract - 24 months (renewable)
• Location: Central Region, Singapore
• Working Hours: 8:30AM to 6:00PM (Mon-Fri)
• Salary: $6000 - 8000 per month (no bonus)
• Working Arrangement: Full Onsite/Hybrid
