Lead Application Scientist (Skin & Sun Care)

Are you a hands-on formulation scientist who's ready to lead, not just execute? We're looking for a Lead Application Scientist to drive innovation in skin and sun care applicationsfor a global specialty ingredients player.

You'll take ownership of complexNPD, EPD and Open Innovation projects — from lab bench to boardroom — whilementoring junior scientists and working closely with sales, marketing andcustomers across the region.

What you'll be doing:

• Design and lead lab experiments, troubleshoot issues, and decide the next steps independently
• Manage multiple projects (days to 6 months) with strong ownership of timelines and outcomes
• Develop novel formulations and test methodologies to support new product launches
• Act as the technical face to customers — from formulation support to on-site training
• Identify and build external collaborations to bring new solutions to market
• Guide and support less experienced team members

What you'll need:

• Degree in Chemistry, Biological Chemistry, Cosmetic Science or related field (MSc/PhD preferred)
• Minimum 5 years' hands-on experience in skin and sun care formulation, with exposure to application testing methods (e.g. in-vitro SPF, corneometer, TEWL)
• Proven track record leading NPD/EPD or Open Innovation projects
• Strong critical thinking, with the ability to connect insights across technologies
• Comfortable working cross-functionally and across regional/global teams
• A proactive communicator who can influence stakeholders at all levels
