About the Role

Responsible for designing, deploying and optimising enterprise cloud and hybrid infrastructure solutions, with a focus on multi-cloud platforms, virtualisation, automation, high availability, security and resilient infrastructure operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, deploy and configure enterprise cloud and hybrid-cloud solutions across AWS, GCP and private cloud environments.
  • Architect and maintain cloud infrastructure supporting mission-critical, high-availability and 24×7 enterprise services.
  • Develop and implement infrastructure automation using Ansible, Puppet, Bash scripting and PowerCLI to improve deployment consistency and operational efficiency.
  • Design and maintain virtualised infrastructure using VMware vSphere/ESXi, Red Hat Virtualization and KVM.
  • Support containerised cloud solutions using OpenShift, Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Participate in the specification, setup and execution of Proofs of Concept (PoCs) and technical demonstrations for cloud, virtualisation and infrastructure solutions.
  • Design and implement automated server provisioning, configuration management, patching and lifecycle management.
  • Develop cloud migration and infrastructure transformation solutions, including migration of physical and virtual workloads to AWS.
  • Architect solutions for high availability, disaster recovery, backup, storage replication, performance and capacity planning.
  • Integrate cloud platforms with enterprise networking, security, storage and backup infrastructure.
  • Evaluate existing infrastructure and recommend improvements to scalability, performance, resilience, security and operational efficiency.
  • Provide technical leadership and architectural guidance to infrastructure and cloud engineering teams.
  • Collaborate with application, network, security, storage, vendor and business stakeholders to deliver integrated cloud solutions.
  • Support enterprise infrastructure across Production, DR, Testing and Development environments.

Mandatory Technical Skills

  • Minimum 15 years of relevant experience in cloud, infrastructure engineering or architecture.
  • Strong hands-on experience with AWS and GCP cloud platforms.
  • Strong experience with VMware vSphere/ESXi and enterprise virtualisation.
  • Strong Red Hat Linux administration and infrastructure experience.
  • Hands-on experience with Ansible and Puppet automation.
  • Experience with Bash scripting and PowerCLI for infrastructure automation.
  • Experience with OpenShift / Docker / Kubernetes container platforms.
  • Strong understanding of enterprise SAN/NAS storage, backup, replication and disaster recovery.
  • Experience designing and supporting high-availability infrastructure.
  • Strong understanding of enterprise networking, including Cisco, Nexus/ACI, F5 and firewall technologies.
  • Experience working across complex multi-cloud, private-cloud and virtualised environments.

Relevant Industry Experience

Experience delivering cloud and infrastructure solutions within Banking & Financial Services, Defence, Government, Telecommunications, Critical Infrastructure and other large enterprise environments, particularly where systems require 24×7 availability, regulatory compliance, strong security and disaster recovery capabilities.
