Dishwasher supervisor

Job Summary
We are looking for a responsible and hands-on Dishwasher Supervisor to oversee the dishwashing and kitchen cleaning operations. The successful candidate will ensure cleanliness, hygiene, smooth workflow, and proper handling of kitchen equipment while supporting the kitchen team.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate daily dishwashing and cleaning activities.
• Assign duties and manage the workload of the dishwashing team.
• Ensure all plates, utensils, pots, pans, and kitchen equipment are properly cleaned and sanitised.
• Maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards in the dishwashing and kitchen areas.
• Monitor the proper operation and cleanliness of dishwashing equipment.
• Ensure sufficient cleaning supplies and report shortages when required.
• Train and guide new staff on proper cleaning and hygiene procedures.
• Ensure compliance with workplace safety and food hygiene requirements.
• Assist the kitchen team with general cleaning and support duties when necessary.
• Report equipment issues, maintenance needs, or operational concerns to management.
• Ensure the team maintains a clean, organised, and safe working environment.

Requirements

• Previous experience in dishwashing, kitchen cleaning, or a similar role.
• Supervisory or team-leading experience is an advantage.
• Able to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
• Good teamwork and communication skills.
• Responsible, hardworking, and physically fit.
• Willing to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays when required.
• Basic understanding of workplace and food hygiene practices.

Working Conditions

• Full-time position.
• Work involves standing for extended periods and handling cleaning equipment and kitchenware.
• Training will be provided where necessary.
