FCC Lead, Capital Markets

Our client is seeking an experienced Financial Crime Compliance Lead to join their Asia Compliance team in Singapore as the designated subject matter expert across our Singapore Branch and Shanghai office. In this second-line role, you'll drive our financial crime control framework — spanning AML/CFT advisory, sanctions and screening governance, suspicious activity reporting, risk assessments, and regulatory submissions — while partnering with business teams, Group Financial Crime, London Compliance, and senior regional stakeholders. Key responsibilities include managing STR investigations, owning sanctions/screening governance for the Singapore Branch, leading Financial Crime input into the Enterprise-Wide Risk Assessment, running monthly QA on monitoring and screening controls, and managing MAS AML/CFT reporting and policy updates. You'll also support regulatory inspections, contribute to compliance training, and help compile the Asia Compliance Pack.

What We're Looking For

You bring 12+ years in regulatory compliance or audit within banking or external audit, ideally with Investment Banking/Global Markets exposure, plus a relevant degree and compliance certification. Strong AML/CFT and risk assessment knowledge, audit familiarity, and solid Word/Excel/PowerPoint skills are essential; Mandarin or other languages are a plus to liaise with Mandarin speaking stakeholders.
