QC ENGINEER

Responsibilities

• Monitor and ensure marine, shipyard and offshore works comply with project specifications and quality standards.
• Inspect materials, fabrication, installation and completed works.
• Review drawings, specifications, inspection requirements and quality procedures.
• Coordinate inspections and testing with clients, consultants and relevant parties.
• Prepare and maintain inspection reports, checklists, quality records and documentation.
• Identify quality issues, non-conformities and coordinate corrective actions.
• Monitor welding, fabrication, installation and workmanship quality.
• Assist in preparing and implementing Inspection & Test Plans (ITP) and quality procedures.
• Support project teams in resolving quality-related issues and ensure timely rectification.
• Ensure compliance with applicable codes, standards and project requirements.

Requirements

• Diploma or Degree in Marine Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering or related field.
• 2–5 years of relevant QC/QA experience in marine, shipyard or offshore projects preferred.
• Good knowledge of marine fabrication, welding, installation and inspection processes.
• Familiar with Inspection & Test Plans (ITP), quality documentation and non-conformance procedures.
• Ability to read and understand engineering drawings and technical specifications.
• Knowledge of relevant marine/engineering standards and welding requirements is an advantage.
• Good communication, analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and able to maintain accurate quality records.
• Willing to work in shipyard, marine or offshore environments when required.
