Country General Manager

Responsibilities:

• To meet and exceed the targets set for China WOFE Office, as well as play an active role as part of the bigger CM team to meet Group’s Profit and Loss objectives;
• To develop and grow Hiin’s China bitumen trade and charter business;
• To collaborate with Supply/Planning team and various supporting functions (mostly residing in Singapore office);
• To maintain overall good relations with all Chinese stakeholders (customers, suppliers, officials if any, etc);
• To plan for, manage, and effectively utilize all Company resources made available, including mentoring/providing stewardship towards younger or lesser-experienced staff;
• To make business travel plans (local & overseas) in support of aforementioned activities;
• To lead and manage the Company’s staff and Office/Admin matters in China in order to fulfil the Company’s business objectives and compliance polices and/or requirements;
• Be the connector between the China customer and Commercial Operation for any matters concerning the rate and/or rate structure.

What is required from you,

• Candidates should possess at least Bachelor’s degree in business or a related field;
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in Commercial sales, trading, business development or aftersales management environment;
• Strong market knowledge and industry network;
• Strong communication skills in dealing with both internal and external stakeholders;
• Excellent at developing strong teams and driving accountability;
• Demonstrate business acumen, data analytics or deciphering data;
• Proficiency in written and spoken Mandarin is required to effectively manage business negotiations, review contractual documents and communicate with customers and stakeholders in China.
