We are representing our client, one of the fastest growing private bank in Asia, to look for Private Banking Team Heads to join the bank.
Job Responsibilities
- Lead and manage a team of Private Banking RMs, driving the team’s business plan, revenue targets and overall commercial performance.
- Partner with the Market Head to develop and execute strategies for business growth, client acquisition and asset growth.
- Drive new client acquisition and business development through active prospecting, networking and leveraging internal and external partnerships.
- Support RMs in managing key client relationships, business opportunities and complex client issues, while providing guidance on investment products and solutions.
- Leverage the bank’s investment products, specialists and resources to meet clients’ wealth management and investment needs.
- Coach, mentor and develop RMs to enhance performance, client engagement and overall effectiveness; foster a collaborative and entrepreneurial team culture.
- Attract, retain and develop high-performing talent with strong business acumen and risk awareness.
- Provide strong supervisory oversight to ensure adherence to the bank’s advisory standards, policies, regulatory requirements and risk management framework.
- Proactively manage and mitigate AML, credit, regulatory and reputational risks, acting as the first line of defence.
- Promote a strong risk and compliance culture within the team and ensure timely closure of all regulatory, risk and control-related matters.
- Monitor individual and team revenue, credit exposures, margin calls and other key performance and risk indicators, taking appropriate action where required.
Job Requirements
- Degree holder with completed CACS Papers I & II.
- Proven experience in Private Banking or Wealth Management with strong team leadership experience.
- Strong interpersonal, communication and client relationship management skills.
- Demonstrated track record in business development, client acquisition, revenue generation and growing client assets.
- Strong investment product knowledge and ability to provide sound investment advisory support.
- Entrepreneurial, commercially driven and possessing strong business acumen.
- Strong people leadership, coaching and talent development capabilities.
- Good understanding of AML, credit, regulatory, compliance and reputational risk requirements.
- Ability to lead by example and balance business growth with sound risk management.
