We are assisting our client, a leading financial institution that provide investment banking, capital markets and financial services across Southeast Asian region, to look for an experienced Investment Banking professional to join the Singapore team. The successful candidate will play a key role in executing M&A, private fundraising, IPO and follow-on offering transactions across Southeast Asia, while contributing to client relationship management and business development.
Job Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the execution of M&A, private fundraising, IPO and follow-on offering in Southeast Asia.
- Identify key transaction issues and risks, and develop feasible solutions to address them.
- Lead and coordinate multiple workstreams across due diligence, financial analysis, valuation, transaction structuring, documentation and regulatory processes.
- Manage day-to-day relationships with corporate clients, investors, regulators, professional advisers and other transaction stakeholders.
- Support senior bankers during deal origination, including preparing and delivering client presentations, pitchbooks, financial analysis and transaction proposals.
- Support senior bankers in developing and maintaining relationships with clients and industry practitioners across Southeast Asia.
- Produce analysis on key capital market and M&A trends in Southeast Asia and identify potential new business opportunities.
- Provide day-to-day guidance and oversight to junior bankers, ensuring quality and timely delivery of work.
Job Requirements
- Master’s degree or above in Finance, Business, Economics, Accounting or a related discipline from a reputable institution.
- Minimum 6 years of investment banking experience in Singapore, with proven hands-on experience in the execution of IPO and M&A transactions.
- Strong understanding of capital markets, transaction processes and regulatory requirements.
- Excellent technical skills in financial analysis, valuation and financial modelling.
- Proven ability to manage transaction execution from start to finish, including coordinating multiple workstreams and internal and external stakeholders.
- Commercially driven with a strong interest in business development, client relationship management and transaction origination.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships at all levels with internal and external stakeholders.
- Highly motivated, proactive and accountable, with strong judgement and ability to manage conflicting priorities and requests.
- A high level of professionalism and integrity.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and high proficiency in Mandarin as the role will require communication and collaboration with Chinese-speaking counterparts and clients.
