SANA Step-Up Centres are collaborative community hubs designed to deliver an interconnected web of holistic, dignity-centered, and continuous support for persons-in-recovery (PIRs) and their families. Grounded in the "ThreeM's"—Maximizing Outreach, Maximizing Client Experience, and Maximizing Continuity—Step-Up shifts recovery away from traditional linear pipelines into a dynamic framework centered on long-term resilience and identity re-visioning.
We are seeking an energetic, approachable, and highly organized Step-Up Services/Social Services/Social Work Associate to join our frontline team.
- This role serves as a key point of contact at the Step-Up Centre, delivering essential Tier 1 and Tier 2 community support services.
- The ideal candidate combines strong administrative capabilities, tech-savviness, and a passion for ground-level engagement.
- You will streamline client intake and triaging, assist with casework, manage financial assistance processes, and actively contribute to community outreach and programmed execution.
Key Responsibilities
1. Triage & Tier 1 / Tier 2 Service Delivery
- Serve as the frontline point of contact for walk-in, phone, or digital inquiries. Assess and triage client needs effectively, including handling clients in crisis.
- Provide accurate information and connect clients to relevant internal programmes, government schemes, or external community resources.
- Process initial intake, verify supporting documentation, and assist clients with applications for financial schemes or emergency relief funds.
- Support Case Managers with case documentation, administrative follow-ups, resource navigation, and routine client check-ins for Tier 2 cases.
2. Administrative & Tech Operations:
- Maintain up-to-date, accurate, and confidential client records in the center's database system.
- Utilize Canva to design engaging publicity materials, event posters, and programmed announcements.
- Leverage AI applications (e.g., Co-Pilot, Claude, workflow automation tools) to draft communications, summarize case notes, and optimize administrative efficiency.
- Provide general administrative, reporting, and logistical support for center operations.
3. Programme Execution & Ground Engagement:
- Maintain a visible, warm, and approachable presence on the ground to build strong rapport with clients and community members.
- Assist in planning, setting up, executing, and evaluating community programmed, workshops, and outreach initiatives.
- Assist with volunteer coordination and partner engagement during community events.
Job Qualifications & Experience Requirements:
1. Educational & Professional Core Experience Background
- Diploma in Social Work, Community Work, Social Sciences, or a related field.
- Preferably able to communicate with English - or Mandarin speaking clients.
- Requires Female candidate for the frontline team and to support female clients in crisis who specifically request female support workers.
- Minimum 4 years of relevant work experience in the social service, community, or non-profit sector.
- Fresh graduates with a strong portfolio showcasing relevant internship/volunteer experience, administrative competence, and community involvement will be considered
2. Core Competencies & Technical Skills:
- Strong administrative capacity and multi-tasking abilities.
- Proficiency in basic office software (Microsoft Office / Google Workspace).
- Proficiency in Canva for basic graphic design and promotional materials.
- Familiarity and hands-on experience with AI applications for productivity and administrative tasks.
- Warm, empathetic, active, and approachable personality.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a client-centric mindset.
- Comfortable with ground engagement and active community interaction.
