WSHO (Construction/ECMO) LT2

Responsibilities

• Implement and maintain the Workplace Safety and Health Management System at the construction site.

• Conduct regular site inspections, safety audits and risk assessments.

• Identify unsafe work practices and conditions, and follow up on corrective actions.

• Advise the Project Manager and site team on workplace safety and health matters.

• Review risk assessments, method statements, safe work procedures and permit-to-work documentation.

• Conduct toolbox meetings, safety inductions, briefings and training for employees and subcontractors.

• Investigate incidents, accidents and near misses, and recommend preventive measures.

• Maintain statutory records and prepare safety reports for management, clients and relevant authorities.

• Coordinate with subcontractors, consultants and project stakeholders on site safety matters.

• Ensure compliance with the Workplace Safety and Health Act, applicable regulations and project requirements.

• Support environmental and Earth Control Measures compliance where required.

• Perform other WSH-related duties assigned by the project management team.

Requirements

• Registered Workplace Safety and Health Officer with the Ministry of Manpower.

• Relevant workplace safety and health experience within the construction industry.

• Familiar with Singapore construction safety regulations, risk management and site safety requirements.

• Able to independently manage WSH matters at an active construction site.

• Strong communication and stakeholder-management skills when working with project teams and subcontractors.

• Earth Control Measures Officer (ECMO) certification would be an added advantage.
