Senior LNG Cargo Operator

JSC Novatek is the largest private owned gas company in Russia. Today it is the major shareholder of Yamal LNG project.

Novatek Gas and Power Asia Pte. Ltd. is the trading company for JSC Novatek’s LNG with marketing LNG and looking at expand its business in Asia.

Job Description

The candidate should possess a solid understanding of LNG commercial operations, as well as current LNG industry practices. The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating the execution of LNG cargo transactions, liaising closely with commercial, shipping, and other internal and external stakeholders to ensure the safe, timely, and efficient performance of cargo operations. The candidate should be strong communicator, systems-savvy, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic trading environment.

Responsibilities:

• Responsible for LNG cargo operations from pre-deal to post-deal activities;
• Support LNG commercial team in pursuing new commercial opportunities;
• Liaise with internal and external stakeholders in ensuring all commercial and operational obligations arising from existing commercial contracts are fulfilled;
• Support the contracts review process by providing operational feedback and identifying embedded value (e.g. LNG Master Sales and Purchase Agreements, Confirmation Notices, etc.)
• Maintain timely and accurate records in internal trading system;
• Provide guidance for junior operators.

Requirements:

• University degree (preferably Bachelor and above) or Diploma.
• 5+ years of experience in cargo LNG operations.
• Strong knowledge of LNG contracts and related commercial documents.
• Confident user of in-house trading systems with the ability to quickly adapt to new technologies.
• Fluency in English for day-to-day business communication.
• High numerical literacy.
• Good communication skills, self-starter and ability to manage expectations with respect shown to internal team members, counterparts and support functions.
• Flexibility to work within European time zone.
